Stock Wide Energy Efficiency Programme (SWEEP)

Through a combined approach of data analysis and consultation with asset and housing managers, CEN will produce an accurate picture of the current stock performance, pinpoint areas for improvement and identify those residents most at risk of fuel poverty.

SWEEP will enable participants to:

• Gain an up-to-date assessment of the energy performance of their stock
• Determine those residents most at risk of fuel poverty and provide them with targeted advice and energy saving measures
• Identify low-cost, stock-wide measures to improve overall energy performance
• Identify the most cost-effective measures for hard-to-treat properties
• Compare their stock to other housing associations and national standards
• Set SMART targets (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Time-based) for improvements
• Develop a long-term strategy to tackle fuel poverty and reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions
• Measure improvements year-on-year and improve overall data quality

SWEEP goes beyond a simple desk-based study and involves face-to-face consultation with managers who understand their stock and the residents living in it. The result is a thorough analysis tackling the specific challenges faced by each organisation.
